Falsifying Congressional Declarations in Arizona

The indictment, unveiled on Wednesday, charges 11 Republicans with fabricating documents submitted to Congress, falsely asserting Trump’s victory in Arizona. Among the accused are a former state party chair, a contender for the 2022 U.S. Senate race, and two incumbent state legislators, each facing nine counts of conspiracy, fraud, and forgery.

Revealing Additional Defendants

While the identities of seven other defendants, including Giuliani and Meadows, remain undisclosed as they have not yet received legal documentation, they are easily identifiable based on descriptions provided.

Although Trump himself remains unindicted, he is cited as an unindicted co-conspirator.

These indictments mark Arizona as the fourth state where associates of the former president face legal action over baseless claims regarding electoral fraud. As Trump prepares for a potential rematch with Biden in November, his persistent dissemination of falsehoods surrounding the previous election finds resonance among his supporters.
